“The stars of the show: chicken tikka masala, okra, and stewed tomatoes, bbq chicken, naan. Don’t go looking for ambiance- the decor is super simple and I usually pick up to-go orders, although I’ve eaten many times too and that is pleasant enough. The orders come with a side salad of sorts- cucumbers, iceberg, and a yogurt dressing that helps temper the spiciness of the meal, and the naan is made fresh right there. But make no mistake, you’re there for the chicken masala, first and foremost. It’s Pakistani style- creamy but pungent sauce like no other place I’ve been to before or since, in NYC or beyond. The chicken is extremely tender. Used to live in the area, and I still come back just for Roti Boti because it’s that good.”

“This is the place for you if you brag about having a fierce palate. We went in here because it was featured on some show on Hulu where a corpulent loud guy talks about food. The waitress/cashier was extremely helpful and patient and helped guide us to the appropriate food choices. Everything that we ate hit our desire, which at that time was powerful spicy food. The channa masala was the star of the show, and so were the meats. Enjoy the food here, and then brag about how you can handle any kind of spice afterward. We’ll be back.
